After a short night and a day working, I leave to head to my last ride section for the 2019 Re-Ride. This leg was in Meyers! Thankfully Jan & Chris were able to come help and be ride support for me to shuttle my rig to my end point. We had scouted a couple of weeks before to figure out where to stage the trailer and discovered that HWY 50 & 89 was a construction zone! Caltrans is putting in a round-a-bout! Yikes lots of heavy equipment, cones, erosion tarps, Continue Reading

First 2018 Re-Rider Departs Old Sacramento!

FROM: Annette Nylander
June 20th, 2018 PDT

The first ride of the year went off without a hitch. I was escorted in by our color guard, Cindy, Susan and Billy carried the flags with pride. My wonder mare Bonita, who has carried me on 14 of the last 16 years, pranced in with great form. I was sworn in, the mochilla was placed by Jim, I mounted up and was ready to ride. With only a minute to wait Bonita spun to face the route headed east and we were off. Crowds cheered as we departed. The, Continue Reading

FROM: Lisa Agoitia
June 17th, 2017 PDT

We started our trail in front of post office at South Lake Tahoe but before we went to see if the next trail was passible.  We got one third the way up and hit solid snow.  So plan B was put in place for the next rider.  While waiting for Nevada rider we found out he was bucked off and we went on a search and rescue mission to find his runaway horse. We heard the rider was fine but went to the hospital to be checked out.  The fire, Continue Reading
