Buffalo Soldiers greet Pony Express

The Buffalo Soldiers greeted the final Pony Express riders following a 1667 mile mail delivery from Sacramento, California to St. Joseph, Missouri. A thousand letters were delivered to the Patee House pony express station on the 40th anniversary of this historic reride.   The Alexander/Madison Chapter of the Kansas City Buffalo Soldiers was proud to welcome the final riders of the historic Pony Express Re-Ride 2018.
