STATUS: The Pony has encountered some terrain issues and needs to backtrack to Hwy 50. We'll keep you posted as best we can on the situation as things unfold.

STATUS: At 11:15am PDT, the Pony was reported at the Cold Springs exchange, running about 15 minutes ahead.

STATUS: The Pony made steady progress overnight and arrived at Sand Springs at 6:07am PDT. This is 23 minutes ahead of schedule. GO PONY!!

STATUS: The Nevada Riders have really pushed it to make up time and arrived at the Carson City exchange at 6:05pm PDT, running on schedule.

STATUS: At 2:50pm PDT the Pony arrived and left Woodfords Station. At this point the California Riders handed the mochila of letters over to the Nevada Riders. Go NEVADA!! THANK YOU, California!

STATUS: The Pony has just left Celio Ranch at 12:47 pm PDT, running 2 hours late.

STATUS: At 11:27 PDT the Pony left Sierra Ski Ranch, running approximately 2 hours behind schedule. Right now the Pony is at about 7200 feet elevation. Note: this is the first year that the Pony has been able to ride on the actual trail through this area since the devastation caused by the Caldor fire a few years back.

STATUS: At 10:01 PDT, the Pony is at Sciots Camp, running approximately 3.25 hours behind schedule. FYI, the elevation there is 5659 feet, so the Pony has steadily ridden "up" over a mile in elevation since leaving Sacramento (elev. 30 feet) yesterday. The report is that the trees have been shielding the Spot device to impede its connection with the satellite. That's why some pings are missing this morning.
