The Spring Market in Silver Springs NV Fallon here we come! The WA contingent with our HAM operator June 2 recon-just made it to Top Gun June 7 recon-couldn’t get halfway to Hooten Well After 3 separate days of trail recon where the consensus went from “nope” to “we can do this” to a definite “not gonna happen”, the contingency plan was put into play: Hwy 50 it is. Lighted pony the reason why Gearin’ up for the night ride Sara and Lucy The week before. In normal years, the trail has us turning down Fort Churchill Road to Fort Churchill State Historic Park. But, this year has been anything but normal! The unprecedented snow pack created an unprecedented snow melt which has filled up all of our rivers, including the Carson River which decided to flood (and close) a portion of Fort Churchill Rd. STATUS: The mail has been handed off from our Nevada to our Utah Division riders and the pony is currently running on time. Next exchange at Boyd Station 1:33AM (MT).

STATUS: The Pony is about 25 miles from the Nevada-Utah exchange point at Ibapah, UT, running about an hour behind schedule.

STATUS: The SPOT GPS device has restarted and shows the Pony has left Shelbourne Rest Area, heading to Utah, on time.

STATUS: Alas, the SPOT GPS device is not working again. We cannot get a support vehicle back into the area where the Pony is due to bad roads. We will be monitoring things and let you know when there is a change. As of last ping, the Pony was running about 4 hours behind to Shelbourne Rest Area.

STATUS: The SPOT Device is now working again and we found the Pony and Rider. Per current calculations, the Pony is about 3 hours late heading to the Shelbourne Rest Area. The Pony is currently at about 7000 feet elevation.
