A masonry company is using traditional masonry methods to restore Marysville Pony Express Barn’s stone walls for another 200 years.

The barn is part of Marysville’s Pony Express Museum at 106 South 8th St. Diehl Masonry, a Wamego subcontractor through BHS Construction, is replacing worn-out or deteriorated mortar in the historical barn with a quicklime mixture traditionally used in building construction until the 20th century.
