The 157th Pony Express Re-ride begins Monday

Departure is scheduled for 3 p.m. from St. Joseph, Missouri. Over a thousand letters will be traveling in a leather mochila on horseback from Missouri to California

Every year the re-ride follows the original trail as close as possible using surrounding roads. This year 600 riders will take turns to transport the mail over one to five miles stretches of the trail.
