The Sweetwater County Pony Express is pleased to announce its 24th Annual Christmas Card Ride, taking place on Saturday, December 13th. As part of this long-standing holiday tradition, Christmas cards will be carried on horseback from the Green River Post Office (350 Unita Dr, Green River, WY 82935-9998) to the Rock Springs Post Office 350 Unita Dr, Green River, WY 82935-9998.
A drop box is available at the Green River Post Office for anyone wishing to include cards in this year’s ride. All cards must be properly addressed, have correct postage, and be ready to mail. Each card will receive the group’s special Pony Express Stamp before being placed into the historic Mochila for transport.

Cards sent to this address must arrive no later than Friday, December 12th, so they can be delivered to the Post Office in time.
Riders will depart the Green River Post Office at 11:00 AM on December 13th.
Cards will be accepted at the Green River Post Office until Friday, December 12th at 5:00 PM.
The community is invited to participate in and support this unique holiday event that celebrates the history and heritage of the Pony Express.
