“Map Lite” App: 2024 Pony Express Annual Re-Ride Rider App (arcgis.com)

This mapping app takes out some of the layers displayed in the regular map and automatically has the NOAA weather layer on.  Riders and support personnel along the trail may find this handier to use and quicker to load.  Note temporary (hopefully) requirement, below, to get to current rider.

2024 RIDER UPDATES:

6/17:  The Rider App is not automatically zooming to the current rider.    If the map has just recently been opened and you need to zoom to the current rider, refresh the browser window or click on either the magnifying glass icon in the pop up or the selected features box in lower right corner to take you to the current rider. If 5 minutes have passed, click on the magnifying glass search icon in the upper left and search for “Current Rider”.   Brian is working on this to fix it to go to current rider automatically.

Riders, Support Crew, Radio Operators and Pony Express Members!

The mail leaves the Patee House in St. Joseph, Missouri, on June 17th at 3:00 PM CDT and arrives in Old Sac, on June 27th at 4:30 PM PDT.
