STATUS: Hello Pony Express. Nevada had a successful ride through the night and passed through Grubb's Well Station at 08:05 on the way to Dry Creek Station. Nevada. Let's give a great big shout out to our Ham Radio Operators, who diligently follow our riders day and night and report REAL TIME GPS locations and are there to help with any problems along the trail. And yet another great job by the voluminous number of riders, ponies and support staff, especially through the blowing sand and high winds (forecasted to be as high as 60mph gusts in parts of Utah)! My photos were taken on 6/11/17 at Stagecoach Inn/Camp Floyd and on the Pony Express Trail between Faust and Lookout Pass. STATUS: Nevada Pony Express is on the trail! Pony and Rider are now 27 miles west of Shelbourne, NV and are approximately 12 minutes ahead of schedule! As these brave men and woman and valiant horses continue across the Silver State in the dark and inclement weather remember to be with them in spirit and share their progress with your friends and families!
