Stephanie on Cruzer then took over the next 3 miles, and I did the next riding Louie. Czech ReRiders Czech ReRiders Czech ReRiders In 1860- 1861, it was a Home Station for the Pony Express. This is what it looked like then. There was an exchange of Riders and horses here, but it was also an Inn on the road to Virginia City. Tonight it will serve as an International gathering of friends of the Pony Express! SPORTSMAN’S is not only a national historic trail landmark, but a very good restaurant. The California Division has held everything from monthly meetings, Ride Selection, to Ride Dinners here WELCOME, Continue Reading
Starry night ride in Nevada
FROM: Jill Andrews

Just got home from the reride. It was a fantastic starry night, cool but not cold. I rode two segments, The first from Shoe Tree to Middlegate station. The second from Sand Springs summit to almost Sand Mountain. The first stretch was a short piece on the highway, but followed by two miles of soft field on a quad type track. We were able to hit a nice lope and got it done in 15 minutes or so. The second leg was along the highway crest, but we found some, Continue Reading
Utah riders at Camp Floyd and between Faust & Lookout Pass
FROM: Leo E. Morin, USAF Ret.

And yet another great job by the voluminous number of riders, ponies and support staff, especially through the blowing sand and high winds (forecasted to be as high as 60mph gusts in parts of Utah)! My photos were taken on 6/11/17 at Stagecoach Inn/Camp Floyd and on the Pony Express Trail between Faust and Lookout Pass. I was my pleasure to briefly meet National President Dean Atkin and Utah President Mike Robison at Stagecoach Inn/Camp Floyd. Thanks to Dean for checking the hotline recording and providing me with a National, Continue Reading
Utah Team #3 Report
FROM: Patrick Hearty

Utah’s Team #3 may be the smokin’est group on the trail. With 18 riders, we carried the mochila across Utah’s west desert from Simpson Springs, in the dark and through a punishing south wind (some riders had to take creative routes home on Monday, as the winds had blown several semi’s over and I-80 in Skull and Tooele Valleys was closed). We ran 47 2-mile segments, which calculates out at about 94 miles, and did it in 9 hours and 15 minutes. Can’t say enough thanks to the riders, our, Continue Reading

What a great ride. received the mail from Sweetwater County 45 minutes late. by the time we reached Fort Bridger at 9:00 pm we had made up 35 minutes. Ride proceeded without any problems but darkness came and slowed us up. When we reached Evanston at 1:00 am we were right on time. The ride through town overwhelmed a first year rider and with horse problems we fell behind but got the mail to Utah state line at 3:45 a.m. Want to thank all our riders for being such a great, Continue Reading
