Sand Springs to Cold Springs

Starting at 7:30 in the morning, received the mail 8 minutes early and began the first of three legs to ride on the Sand Springs to Cold Springs Team! What a run it was! Our first leg was 3.5 miles uphill to the top of the pass and handing off to Alina Raabe. Then on to Middlegate Station for another easy 2 mile section. First 2018 Re-Rider Departs Old Sacramento!

The first ride of the year went off without a hitch. I was escorted in by our color guard, Cindy, Susan and Billy carried the flags with pride. My wonder mare Bonita, who has carried me on 14 of the last 16 years, pranced in with great form. I was sworn in, the mochilla was placed by Jim, I mounted up and was ready to ride.
