Just got home from the reride. It was a fantastic starry night, cool but not cold. I rode two segments, The first from Shoe Tree to Middlegate station. The second from Sand Springs summit to almost Sand Mountain. The first stretch was a short piece on the highway, but followed by two miles of soft field on a quad type track. We were able to hit a nice lope and got it done in 15 minutes or so. The second leg was along the highway crest, but we found some dirt just off the pavement, so still got a good brisk trot going. I really had a good time, and there are not enough words to say thanks to Sybil, the owner of the big Appaloosa mare I was fortunate enough to borrow again this year. This team really put it down and got it done!
