Fort Laramie NHS Hosts “Christmas on the Frontier”
Fort Laramie National Historic Site will host its annual “Christmas on the Frontier” program on Saturday, December 16, 2017. Festivities begin at 1:00 p.m. and will conclude at 5:00 p.m. with the Fort Laramie Historical Association Annual Meeting following.
Visitors will be entertained in the mess room of the historic Cavalry Barracks (1874) by some of the area’s favorite musical groups performing their special variety of Christmas music and carols. Musicians include the Wyo-Ring Handbell Choir, Torrington Fiddlers Association, and the Sugar Valley Singers. Visitors will have the opportunity to mail Christmas cards with the dramatic arrival and departure of a “Pony Express” rider in the Historic District of the Fort at 2:00 pm.
