Legal location: T.24 N., R.55 E., Section 13.  UTM (NAD 83) 608594 Easting/4424918 Northing.
Camping near by: Cold Creek Reservoir (http://www.ndow.org/Bodies_Of_Water/Cold_Creek_Reservoir/),  https://www.blm.gov/visit/search/9/NV/0/1.  There are many opportunities for primitive camping throughout the District.  BLM public lands are open to camping for no charge (14 day camp stay limit).  When primitive camping please exercise good stewardship.  Please, pack out your trash, build fires in previously established fire rings, and collect dead or down firewood away from heavily used sites.  This will ensure a quality experience for all those who wish to use the area.
What to bring: Some chairs will be provided.  The area is primitive and there are no services, so plan accordingly.  June weather in Nevada may be unpredictable so dress accordingly.
The event will allow time for a meet and greet of Pony Express re-riders, watch as the riders complete a mail exchange, and hear the history of Jacob’s Well as presented by Ely District BLM archaeologists.
